Nicole leaves Chamonix for the United Kingdom where she successfully get all her Figure skating gold tests. The Free dance one didn’t even exists at the time in France, she created it when she came back.

Nicole dedicated the rest of her life to her husband Yves while raising her two children Yann and Sophie. She later came back to Figure Skating as a teacher after creating her own school in the little town called Plaisir where she spent the rest of her life in France. Having no infrastructure in town, she had to bring her students to the Paris Montparnasse ice ring, then later on to the one in Courbevoie in the Paris suburbs driving a mini van.
